Pete joined our family over the Labor Day weekend, and has been a model pack dog since he arrived. He accepted his new brother, Newport(15-yr. old Cockapoo mix) immediately and is verykind to our "old" guy. He is affectionate to his new Mom and Dad and has accepted our extended family and friends as his own. Gentle, kind and loving he continues to amaze us with his polite manners. Pete was very well trained when he came to us and we are incredibly grateful to his previous owner for instilling in Pete terrific skills like walking nicely on a leash, greeting dogs and people properly and politely, and sitting/laying down when asked. He also learns new things very quickly so we are constantly trying to keep up with him!
We have a lot of stairs in our house and it was apparent early on that this was a new challenge for him. He is doing much better on the stairs now and his favorite perch is on the landing between our 2nd/3rd floors or on the back deck overlooking the woods where he can keep an eye on those pesky squirrels, foxes and chipmunks.
Pete isn't treat or toy oriented, but he really enjoys lounging in all of his beds (four at this count). He is very loving and looks forward to his evening cuddles with his people. Typical Pibble, Pete grunts and snorts a lot, which is always good for a laugh. We can't imagine our home without him and we encourage others to consider adopting, sponsoring or fostering aPibble.
